It's hard to believe that we are halfway through the year already! I am so proud of what we accomplished so far, especially all the hard work that was done by our conference volunteers! We'll have some fun social activities this summer and then ramp up again with some great educational events.
Our various committees are still very active this summer and we have some great events and programs lined up for the Fall. Stay tuned for some interesting projects, such as an Internship program and our own Podcast Show!

Event Recap
SECON NJ 2024
SECON NJ 2024 was a tremendous success this year! Thanks to our partnerships with Kean University and the ISACA NJ Chapter, we had over 350 people attend in person and another 50 on our virtual platform, Gathertown!
Alex Velez did an amazing job photographing nearly every presenter here and recapping the conference with this short video.
Some highlights were:
π Jay Ferron received our Lifetime Achievement Award
π40+ volunteers made it all happen
π Ira Winkler went on a wonderful discussion (rant) about the craziness of the cybersecurity profession
π We ran out of our beach bag/towel SWAG very quickly
π By 4pm the auditorium was still full of people when our final keynote, Dr. Erdal Ozkaya gave his phenomenal presentation
π Michael C. Redmond showed us how she revamped a major cityβs Cybersecurity program
π There was standing room only for both Alex Perotti and Jay Ferron's presentations!
π Bryon Singh and Joseph Brown were amazing at managing the volunteers!
π Our Career Track was a wild success, thanks to Jose Lagdameo Jr., Marjon Rivera, Dale Favia, Terrence H. Seamon and Paul Cecala!
To keep this amazing momentum going we will start planning our SECON INTERNATIONAL conference in the next few months and look forward to more members taking the public speaking plunge!
Congrats to everyone who worked so hard to pull off this amazing event! Our volunteers are the heart of this chapter and we couldn't do it without their help. Step up the next time there is a call for volunteers!
A Big Thank You to Our Conference Sponsors!
We'd like to thank our sponsors for providing us with the means to make this year's SECON NJ a huge success.

JuMPstart Mentorship Program (JUMP)
Dear Members,
We're thrilled to announce a major transformation to the JuMP Mentorship Program, marking the largest change since its inception in 2020. As unveiled during our December chapter meeting, we are transitioning from a structured 6-month program to a more flexible month-to-month arrangement.
Key Benefits of this Change:
*Open Enrollment:
The new format allows the JuMP program to welcome new participants at any time, making it easier for individuals to join and contribute.
*. Monthly Availability:
We'll now confirm everyone's availability on a monthly basis, ensuring that mentorship arrangements align with your schedules.
*. Adaptability:
This change enables us to accommodate unexpected shifts in mentee and mentor availability with greater ease.
