Newsletter Committee
Ken's Korner
With now over 300 members in our community, we have a great pool of volunteers that are actively contributing to improve our chapter. Many of our guest speakers are now either member referrals or members themselves.
We started a Discord server this month that was completely member driven. We also started Phase One of our Rookie Academy and many members have volunteered to be a part of it.
I am so thankful to all the volunteers who have dedicated their time to make this chapter what it is today!

Our Rookie Academy is now live!
We are starting Phase One of our Rookie Academy and I am reaching out to BOTH seasoned and junior professionals to make this program a success!
OUR GOAL: To have an informal setting for junior professionals to ask questions to seasoned professionals from various domains within cybersecurity, so that they can determine if that area is worth pursuing as a career.
SEASONED PROFESSIONALS:
- If you can donate a ½ hour of your time, after hours (we’ll work around your schedule), please click here to fill out the form.
JUNIOR PROFESSIONALS:
- This program is ONLY available to either paid members or undergrad students.
- We will give out the schedule of speakers ahead of time, so that you can plan accordingly.

We now have our own Discord Server!
By adding a Discord server to the mix of our communication tools, we now have real-time collaboration between our members 24/7. Within one day, we had 50 members discussing a myriad of topics, such as exam prep, tools, news, home labs, chapter programs and many other topics.
The members of the Discord Committee are Bryon Singh, Bryan Thormann, Tran Cheung, Giovanni Mercado, John Linkowsky , Krishna Nekkalapudi, Matthew Lang, Michael LeBlanc, Nikunj Shah and Saurabh Sagdeo.
Special thanks to Bryon Singh for setting up our server so quickly and being its head administrator!
